Patna Museum...

view of patna museum building.

The Bihar state museum, the Patna Museum (locally called 'Jadu Ghar') was built in 1917 on the Budh Road by the British with the aim to preserving and showcasing the various historical artifacts and relics. Its architectural structure, design and style are unique and superb as it blends the Mughal, European and the Rajput styles. Its attractions include the cannon of the WWI (First World War), splendid collections of terracotta sculptures, coins, instruments, textiles, bronze artifacts and figures, clay toys, paintings of China and Tibet, the 16 meters long fossilized tree and the Didarganj Yakshi (its most valued possession).
It is closed on Mondays and holidays. Its timings are 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.
